An entertaining trip to the National Zoo with family on a Charter Bus July 09, 2009.
One of the big attractions in the city of Washington DC is the National Zoo. I with family took the charter bus to find rare animals, everything from Giant Pandas to a Giant Octopus, as well as plenty of snacks and other diversions. There’s something more about the Zoo that expose and render kids in all of us. The Zoo offers family entertaining, thrill, and inspiring education programs, as well as a peaceful setting to enjoy nature.
The Zoo has been designed to exhibit animals for the public and to serve as a refuge for wildlife, such as bison and beaver that were rapidly vanishing from North America. In the Ape House, I saw an Orangutan, sleeping with it's head under a piece of cardboard. The Giant Pandas were locked up behind glass like Hannibal Lecter.
Being in a zoo can't be all bad for some animals, like the Tiger. I'm sure being locked up is better than being killed by some poachers.
If your trip is in winter, you can enjoy skating on ice rink. A Smithsonian museum offers a variety of entertaining and educational exhibits. There’s a short river walk that is splendid, the Washington DC waterfront. At end of the celebrated seafood market, you can see a marvelous range of edibles from the sea. In the market, you’ll find the Titanic Women’s Memorial to the brave men who had sunk in the water to ship and save women and children in the Titanic.
Visiting the National Zoo will an amazing experience. It needs a lot of walking. You should dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
